Giventake is part of my ongoing effort to create a local market app, that is easy to use, and allowing for a wider range of transactions within a small community, in order to encourage local commerce, personal freedom, and sustainability from the bottom up.
The vision
After reading a bunch of books that inspired me to think different about economy and sustainability, I began to develop a vision -
We live in a consumerism culture where we buy food and other supplies from a global company and give money and power to people we don’t know, and most of the time don’t deserve our trust.
Now money is something imaginary we trust, it doesn’t have any value if we don’t put our trust in it, and it seems like the game we play doesn't favor simple citizens.
What if instead of that we’ll embrace "producerism" - we agree to trust on a local closed community coin that is not connected to the global system, and produce, sell and buy on it. and in this way we empower ourselves while giving wealth and power to our close community, and help us and our loved ones to sustain ourselves.
Good for the planet, good for the people.
I created many iterations over a couple of years and tested them on users in order to find a solution that could work, and be easy to use to all of the variety of people.
The app
An app that functions as a local buying and selling board for a local community -
for beginner users the app functions as a regular delivery app, with all of the food and service providers on the local community on the same app.
for experienced - an extra level of a local in-app coin, that allows the exchange of goods, and participation in a changing community contests, with prizes
